Art In the Garden - Camper of the Week!!

This week at The Studio, campers are trying out a brand new option: Art in the Garden. In this camp, young artists have the opportunity to create birdhouses, berry bowls, and mosaic pots. In keeping up with the current trends, we even made wall planters for tiny succulents. Through these different projects, campers are able to learn many new techniques, including pottery and mosaic.

Our Camper of the Week for Art in the Garden camp is nine-year-old Eliza Parisi. She is a rising fourth grader at Stratfield Elementary School in Fairfield who loves art. Eliza says she signed up for this camp because "I love art and I really like nature and I love gardens." We are so happy she signed up, because she has been incredibly focused, respectful, and helpful to her fellow c

ampers this week. She is also very talented, and has the rare ability to take her time with her work, which leads to beautiful finished projects! This budding artist is a huge fan of our new space, in her words, "I really really like the place because it's bigger than the other place and it's very outdoorsy."

Eliza was in camp with us once before for pottery, where she made her very own windchimes. After three summers she decided to come back to The Studio because she has been getting more interested in art. When asked if she has been doing art at home, she replied "yes! I've done it so many times." We are SO excited that Eliza has come back to us, and that we got to spend time with her this week and see her create amazing pieces of work!
