This introductory pottery wheel class is designed for students who are new to pottery or new to The Studio. The course has a minimum eight-week commitment.
The course focuses on building a strong foundation in wheel throwing while helping students get acquainted with The Studio. Students are introduced to the anatomy of the wheel and proper setup, and learn the basics of wedging, centering, opening, and pulling walls to create a cylinder—the foundation for most wheel-thrown forms.
Students may start at any time. After completing the eight-week introductory course, students may move into the intermediate and advanced groups and continue on a month-to-month basis.

To cancel for a given month, notice must be received in writing no later than the 25th of the prior month; future installments will be cancelled in line with our cancellation policy.

Firing fees are extra, include glazes, and will be charged according to our firing fee schedule.
BILLING AND CANCELLATION

Class fees are calculated based on the remaining classes in the semester (including holiday closures) and can be paid in monthly installments.

Makeup classes are not available for missed sessions due to scheduling constraints.

If you choose the monthly payment plan, your installment will be charged on the 1st of each month.

To cancel before the end of the semester, please notify us in writing by the 25th of the month prior, your cancellation will take effect the following month.

Because installments are evenly divided, cancelling before the end of the semester may create a small difference between what you've paid and the classes received. Any variance will be refunded or charged at cancellation.
