Wheel Classes

Handbuilding with Clay
We offer classes and private lessons for adults and kids ages 6 and up. For privates, Email admin@thestudioffld.com to book your instructor will teach you how to handbuild an item of your choice. Once finished sculpting your piece, you will be allowed to select your glaze choice from several options.

Private Lessons (call or email to book)
Private lesson is defined by 1-4 people in the same group getting one on one step by step instruction on how to wedge, center, pull and shape (throw) your own pottery piece. This price includes the lesson, and ONE piece per hour, and we will take care of your piece from the time you remove it from the wheel until it is leather hard; we then trim your piece, bisque fire them, and when they are cool we will glaze them your color of choice. Pottery Wheel, clay, painting, drawing, printmaking, paper mache, multimedia, public art, and more!!

Painting, Drawing & More
Adult painting classes offered Wednesdays 10:30AM-12:30PM. The Instructor will work with you at your level, and will help you with composition, technique, shading, and more.

Pottery Memberships
Members are like family to us. They work together to keep the studio warm, safe, and fun. ​In order to become a member, you must have taken at least one 8 week (Level 1) class with the studio, and have your instructor's approval as to your ability to work independently, in addition to your respect and understanding of studio rules of the space and potential fellow members. ​We are giving you a key to our house, we need to make sure you fit with the rest of the family.​The Term can range from 15hrs. per month ($168/month) **TO **Unlimited use (298. for either new or current members) **between 6am-midnight for the month**. The membership will continue indefinitely until the member cancels or pauses their membership.​

Guided Exploratory Studio
Guided Exploratory Studio: Skillbuilding through a wide variety of mediums. Each month will have a different theme, to include multiple mediums and techniques including Drawing from Life, Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, Mixed Media. Drawing will be the fundamental for each medium, emphasizing composition, perspective, light and value.
Our goal is to make you a better artist and if you don't know, no worries, we have a plan for you and will guide you along the way.

*The Studio Fairfield follows the schedule of the Fairfield Public Schools, for days off, and for weather or emergency closings.

The co-owners of The Studio Fairfield...love their space and the people who walk through the doors. In business for 17 years, they've grown and have developed bodies of work of their own, and are featured in many home collections.

They have acquired the space in their building and are now offering private showings for high end ceramics and other mediums.
