The Studio Fairfield
The Studio Fairfield is a local, women-run and owned art collective dedicated to bringing our community together through a passion for creativity and self-expression.
The Studio Fairfield has seen a steady growth since 2008, and in 2020 won a CTWBDC IGNITE grant for women owned businesses which DOUBLED their revenue, and set them on a path for greater success igniting their pottery business. The Studio Fairfield's membership is growing, and thanks to a WBDC ACCELERATE grant, funded by Libertas Funding in September of 2025, the studio is poised to accelerate and grow their membership even further..
The Studio Fairfield space which grew in March 2025 to fill the entire barn space they lease, offers classes in many mediums for all skill levels, from amateur to professional. We emphasize teaching fundamental techniques and guiding individual growth. Owners Christine Orlando and Priscilla Igram, along with their instructors, are working and practicing artists exploring their own creative selves and sharing their experience with others. In its 17th year of business, they are growing their community, providing an escape for clients age 6 and up to explore their creative selves in a nurturing and fun environment.
Christine and Priscilla are artists who paint, sculpt, draw, throw pottery, and more. They apprenticed for a well-established minimalist, Blythe Bohnen, whose work is in several permanent collections, including The Whitney Museum.
