In this introductory class, you’ll learn watercolor through guided exercises during 2-hour sessions. We’ll explore essential techniques, brush handling, and the different types of paper used in watercolor painting. As the class progresses, we’ll dive into color mixing and combinations, basic color theory, light and dark values, and ways to combine techniques. You’ll also have opportunities to experiment and incorporate other media.

This is a foundational class designed to build confidence and understanding of watercolor. Rather than focusing on creating a finished masterpiece, the goal is to give you the tools, curiosity, and momentum to begin your watercolor journey.
