For new or experienced potters! 1.5 hours a week for 4 weeks | $230 | If you join mid-month, we will prorate. You will learn everything you need to know from wedging a lump of clay to creating a beautiful and functional piece of art. Billing is automatic on the first of the month unless we are made aware of cancelation a week ahead of the first of the month.
Once students begin producing more than our standard size objects, they are required to pay firing fees to cover the cost of electricity and glazes.
Students are expected to be cleaned up within the class time, and can be asked to remain until they've fully cleaned up.

private wheel lesson

Humans only...but we got your attention, right?
In a private sculpting lesson for ages 6 and up, participants may make a sculpture of their choosing within certain guidelines. Private wheel lesson is defined by 1-4 people (ages 11 and up) in the same group getting one on one step by step instruction on how to wedge, center, pull and shape (throw or sculpt) your own pottery piece. This price includes the lesson, and up to two pieces per hour, and we will take care of your piece from the time you remove it from the wheel or table, until it is leather hard; this is when we will trim your piece if necessary. We then dry your piece(s) and bisque fire them, and when they are cool we will glaze them your color of choice, Once glazed, they will move to the glaze fire and when that is cooled, you be able to pick up your wares. Any additional pieces that you want to keep will have a firing fee (following our chart) and a care fee for the trimming and glazing. $20 extra per piece.
