All of our classes accommodate beginners unless indicated in the description. For all approaches to pottery, hand building and wheel work, there are several stages to a finished piece. Classes are filling up, please call if you don't see a time that works for your schedule. We also offer Pottery workshops Handles.... Lids... minis.... carving....big pots... call for our schedule.
Want to try the wheel, or try sculpting with clay?
We will take you through the steps of throwing without the emphasis on a product. OR...If wheel is not your thing, we can walk you through hand-building a piece OR you learn how to make 3D figures with a beginner lesson in sculpting. Cost is $75/hour per person. 6 week course for all levels. Loosen up and find your style. In the first weeks, you'll experiment with drawing techniques, focus on composition, and work toward either painting or drawing as a final product. Many of the students in this class continue on in the next session. If you've wanted to try drawing, and/or painting, this is a wonderful place to start! If you're already an artist, COME AND PLAY WITH US!
We offer INDEPENDENT OPEN STUDIO for those ADULTS who are interested in sharing the space with others, working with feedback from peers, but no formal instruction. In order to become a member, you must have taken at least one class with the studio, and have met with management to clarify your understanding of studio rules of respect for the space and members. We are currently on a waitlist for membership and you may reach out to management to inquire
Choose your length, 3/6/12 months, $155, 145, 135/ month plus a one month refundable security deposit. A refundable security deposit equal to one month’s membership fees paid at the time of joining the studio, will be held against any late charges, fees not paid directly by the member, and will be returned when the member leaves the studio. Potters pay an additional .06 cents per inch on each piece fired, to cover glazing and firing fees.
